British national Joe Guy, known as Zhong Kai in China, recently shared his impressions of Huizhou in a street interview.
After spending a year in China as an international student, Joe said he had long been aware of the special sister-city relationship between his hometown, Worcester, and Huizhou. That connection first sparked his interest in the southern Chinese city.
Although he has not yet visited Huizhou, Joe is already familiar with two of its most famous dishes: salt-baked chicken and Dongpo pork. He said he hopes to travel there soon and taste them in person.
"I'm really looking forward to it," Joe said with a smile. It is a simple but sincere wish from a young Briton who has clearly developed a deep fondness for Chinese culture and cuisine.
