The Ultimate Robot Knockout Legend (URKL), a global humanoid robot freestyle fighting league, staged its inaugural event in Shenzhen on July 16.
The opening bout featured two full-size humanoid robots, Eagle in white and Matador in black, in a full-contact clash inside the steel cage.
During a high-intensity exchange, Matador's neck joint fractured under a heavy impact, leaving its head nearly detached from its body.
Despite the severe structural damage, Matador remained upright. Its torso maintained its balance and posture, enabling it to withstand the blows and continue fighting.
