The "Asia-Pacific Youth Gathering: Building a Shared Future Through Energy" was held in Shenzhen on August 21, bringing together more than 60 experts, youth representatives and journalists from 13 countries and regions to discuss energy cooperation, regional connectivity and the coordination of electricity and computing power.

Participants from China, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Russia, Canada, Australia, Chile and other countries and regions visited the Chunhui Substation and the HQB Museum (华强北博物馆), while taking part in story-sharing sessions and roundtable discussions.
Cross-border energy cooperation was a major focus. Participants discussed ways to improve power-grid connectivity, share energy resources and develop common standards across the region.

Participants also examined the challenges created by the rapid growth of artificial intelligence and data centers. They called for closer coordination between electricity and computing infrastructure, as well as greater cooperation in technology, finance, talent development and cross-border investment.

The discussions also highlighted the role of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as a testing ground for green energy and digital innovation. Participants said the region could use its strengths in technology, industry and talent to develop new models of energy and computing cooperation.
Participants said greater exchanges among young people could help strengthen cooperation in green development, technological innovation and regional connectivity, contributing to more sustainable and inclusive growth across the Asia-Pacific.
