"Since last year, China's relations with European countries have warmed up one after another," said Foreign Minister Wang Yi at a press conference on the sidelines of the fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress on March 8.
Trade between the two sides exceeded $1 trillion, with over two million European tourists visiting China visa-free. Wang stressed that for ties to remain steady, Europe must establish a correct perception of China. He welcomed that more Europeans now see China as a global partner, not a competitor—noting that the younger generation views China with greater objectivity and positivity.
