Fengwan Town sits in a fold of hills in Shaoguan, northern Guangdong. Karst peaks rise abruptly from the surrounding terrain, their forms reflected in the surrounding reservoirs and streams — a landscape that has made the town known as "Little Guilin."
Unlike its more famous counterpart in Guangxi, Fengwan draws few long-distance visitors, but astrophotographers and overnight campers.
