The 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) opened its doors to a vibrant tapestry of global traditions, craftsmanship, and artistic innovation, offering visitors an immersive "passport" to the world's cultural treasures.
From Turkish coffee fortune-telling to thunderous African drums and meditative Nepalese gongs, the fair transformed into a dynamic hub of intercultural dialogue, attracting thousands of attendees eager to explore humanity's shared heritage.
This year's ICIF showcased an eclectic mix of over 50,000 cultural products and performances from over 30 countries, blending time-honored craftsmanship with contemporary flair. Among the highlights was the centuries-old tradition of Turkish coffee divination, which captivated crowds as "the Einstein of Turkish Coffee," JoJo, interpreted coffee-ground patterns to predict fortunes.
Beyond serving as a bustling marketplace, the fair's true magic lay in fostering human connections. Attendees engaged in lively exchanges with artisans, learning the stories behind each creation, from the labor-intensive process of weaving Moroccan rugs to the spiritual significance of Indonesian batik patterns.
