Exoskeleton robot from Guangdong wins fans in Cambodia

"It's very lightweight, like I'm floating," said Huang Huanming, executive vice president of the Khmer-Chinese Association in the Kingdom of Cambodia and president of Jian Hua Daily, after trying on a Guangdong-made exoskeleton robot in Siem Reap, Cambodia. He said the product would be quite helpful for elderly people with leg problems.

Another visitor echoed the experience: "I walked with ease when I wore it." He added that many people, especially those who are overweight or have knee issues, often struggle to walk. For them, such a device could offer real support in daily life.

The comments came during the "Guangdong Meets the Asia-Pacific · China Finds 'Guangdong Goods, Global Reach'" Cambodia Promotion Event, held in Siem Reap on September 19, 2026.

The event showcased more than 100 Guangdong products across more than 30 categories, from lion dance-themed designer toys and Huajuhong lozenges to lychee pastries, smart stringless guitars and AI translation glasses.

Of all the products on show, the exoskeleton robot stood out—showing how Guangdong innovation can improve lives, one step at a time.
