On the evening of October 11, the sky above Qingcheng District in Qingyuan, Guangdong, lit up with a drone display featuring nearly 1,000 units forming patterns such as the Chinese characters for "Qingcheng Welcomes You." The show, accompanied by cheers from spectators at Fengcheng Square, was part of the 2025 Guangdong (Qingcheng) 3rd Crossing of the Bei River event.
The drone performance, newly introduced this year, showcased 13 distinct formations. By transforming traditionally flat visual presentations into multi-dimensional displays, the demonstration sought to present Qingcheng's cultural and natural resources in a more dynamic way.
Later that evening, a festive gala was held at the square, featuring 14 performances by groups including the Guangxi Swimming Association and Guangdong Winter Swimming Association. Instruments, recitations, songs, and dances drew crowds of residents and visitors.
Early the following morning, nearly 3,000 swimmers from across China gathered at Fengcheng Square to cross the Bei River. In addition to the aquatic event, local agricultural products, such as Qingyuan chicken and Yingde black tea, were promoted at the venue.
