Skylines across Shenzhen lit up on November 21 as the city prepared to host the closing ceremony of China's 15th National Games. Buildings, including the Ping An Finance Centre and China Resources Tower, with a theme "Passionate National Games, Vibrant Bay Area" and slogans such as "Chasing Dreams in the Bay Area" displayed in a coordinated light show.
The illumination began on November 20 and continued through the ceremony day. The event is part of Shenzhen's broader effort to create an engaging atmosphere for the Games, which are jointly hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
The closing ceremony takes place at the Happy Theater in Bao'an (深圳宝安欢乐剧场), a venue designed to incorporate coastal scenery and urban sights into its staging. Director Shen Chen earlier described the ceremony as "set between sea and sky," using open-air spaces to create a "panoramic city-wide celebration."
