American Chamber of Commerce in South China (AmCham South China) will take advantage of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting in China's Shenzhen in November to showcase China's investment opportunities to U.S. enterprises worldwide, said Harley Seyedin, Chairman and President of the AmCham South China.
U.S. firms can achieve profitability faster with investments in Guangdong than in other regions, Harley Seyedin made the remarks on September 9 at the China Provinces–U.S. States Investment and Trade Cooperation Exchange, held during the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade in Xiamen City, China.
Seyedin noted that the vast majority of U.S. enterprises operating in China, particularly those in Guangdong, remain profitable. AmCham South China members have earmarked 13.79 billion dollars in cash for reinvestment across China over the next three to five years. He added that China continues to offer abundant investment opportunities for U.S. businesses.
For example, AmCham South China has invited heads from 29 American Chambers of Commerce across the Asia-Pacific and beyond to attend the APEC events in Shenzhen to showcase local market strengths, industrial progress and business opportunities to global peers.
"So Guangdong offers the opportunity for our companies to set up their headquarters and actually reach the entire Asia-Pacific," Seyedin said.
Seyedin stressed that AmCham South China maintains close cooperation with Guangdong authorities, and U.S. firms remain committed to long-term engagement with China across China's diverse industries, reflecting a promising outlook ahead.
