Small and medium-sized enterprises around the world will benefit from China's development, as collective digital and technological upgrades enabled by the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) mechanism would allow APEC member economies to engage with global capital, technology and market value chains as a more powerful community.
The remarks were made by multiple APEC ministers and delegates at the 32nd APEC SME Ministerial Meeting held in Guangzhou on September 4.
Ministers and delegates from Thailand, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia and Indonesia shared positive feedback after seeing on-site innovations from China, including 3D-printing devices and robotic coffee machines. They noted China's technologies can add commercial value for local SMEs, boost digital transformation and improve agriculture and mineral-related industries back home.
As the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting is to be held in China in November, delegates at the event on September 4 highlighted China's role in promoting inclusive technological progress that leaves no APEC member economy behind.
