On October 9, the "Travel with the 15th National Games"—a Guangdong provincial city discovery and international exchange activity—arrived in Foshan's Nanhai District. A delegation of approximately 20 foreign internet influencers and international students visited to experience Nanhai's lion and dragon dance culture, industries, and cuisine.
This event was organized and launched by the South of the Nanfang Media Group. It invited overseas internet influencers and international students to visit host cities of the National Games, such as Guangzhou, Foshan, and Dongguan, for thematic exchanges and in-depth exploration.
The Nanhai Huang Feihong Martial Arts Lion and Dragon Dance Association (南海黄飞鸿中联武术龙狮协会) is highly regarded. Since the 1990s, it has participated in over a hundred domestic and international competitions, winning more than 200 championships, including over 30 international titles. At its training base, the delegation observed martial arts and lion and dragon dance performances and experienced traditional dragon boat activities.
Brendan, a food blogger from Australia, said, "I find it absolutely inspiring to see how fit and strong they are, able to dance so vigorously for five minutes. They're completely covered in sweat, yet they can just keep going."
Vladimir Nemogai, an international student from Russia, stated, "The Nanhai Premium Products Exhibition and Trade Center is unique because it proves that you can create anything in China. Whether it's clothes, furniture, or even toys, it's remarkable to realize that you can produce virtually anything in one place, in one city."
At the Cantonese Dim Sum Museum, located in Nanhai's Shuangxi Restaurant, the delegation sampled Nanhai's culinary delights and made traditional shrimp dumplings. The restaurant, with a 132-year history, showcases the craftsmanship and variety of Cantonese dim sum in the Nanhai District.
