Media delegation from Republic of the Congo visits China's 15th National Games MPC

A media delegation from the Republic of the Congo visited the Main Press Centre (MPC) of China's 15th National Games in Guangzhou on November 17, taking a closer look at how one of the country's largest sports events is organized. The 28-member delegation, hosted by the CICG Institute of International Studies and Advanced Training, had just completed a field visit in Yunfu City, Guangdong, before attending a press conference on the sports highlights of Guangdong's cities.

For many in the delegation, it was their first direct experience with China's National Games. Allegra De Rachelia Maposso, Head of Agence Congolaise de Presse, expressed her admiration for the scale and efficiency of the event. She noted that China's highly coordinated approach offers valuable lessons for Congo. She added that the delegation hopes to bring home insights that could help strengthen the country's sporting system.

After the press conference, the delegation toured the MPC and participated in a welcome ceremony. Deng Hong, Deputy Director of the Information Office of the Guangdong Provincial Government, greeted the group warmly. He recalled his experience in West Africa and highlighted the strong friendship and mutual respect between the peoples of China and the Republic of the Congo, noting that cooperation between the two sides has positively contributed to global development and peace. At the welcome ceremony, the delegation sampled local Guangdong specialties, providing a small glimpse into the culture behind the Games.

To further deepen understanding and strengthen people-to-people ties, the delegation will continue its visit in Guangdong. Next, they will travel to Zhaoqing for more field studies and on-site exchanges, offering another opportunity to learn about China's culture, development, and local industries.
