"The best way to understand something, it's very simple, (is that) you should love this. Love is a foundation. We are living in a new digital world in a new information communication environment. It can help us to learn more about China."
The statement came in an exclusive interview with Andrey Bystritskiy, Chairman of the Board of the Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club.
He attended the three-day 2025 Understanding China Conference held in Guangzhou with his institution.
The conference this year was themed "New Plan, New Development, New Choices: Chinese Modernization and New Vision for Global Governance."
During the interview, Bystritskiy proposed that Russia and China should intensify cultural exchanges between each other. And movies are a good medium in his eyes.
