A press conference was held in Beijing on September 18 to unveil details of the 140th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair). The fair takes place at the Canton Fair Complex in Pazhou, Guangzhou, and has run uninterrupted for seven decades since its launch in 1957.
From 9,600 square meters and 1,200 buyers at its debut to 1.55 million square meters and 310,000 buyers today, the fair runs in three phases: October 15-19 for advanced manufacturing, October 23-27 for home products and October 31-November 4 for consumer goods. It serves as a vital platform for China’s foreign trade.
