On August 18, Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn appointed Paetongtarn Shinawatra as the country's prime minister. Paetongtarn, 37, became the country's youngest and second female prime minister. On August 14th, Thailand's former prime minister Srettha Thavisin was removed from office.
Paetongtarn stated on August 18 that Thailand and China have long maintained profound friendly relations, and she hopes for more cooperation with China. Does that mean the bilateral relations between the two sides will enter a new stage?
