Tax services 2.0: Making cross-border business easier

From October 13 to October 15, the 7th Belt and Road Initiative Tax Administration Cooperation Forum (BRITACOF) took place in Jakarta, Indonesia, under the theme of "Smart Taxation, Shared Prosperity". At the forum, Version 2.0 of the Taxpayer Service Product Portfolio was unveiled.

Compared with Version 1.0, the updated portfolio features three major upgrades: expanded coverage, enhanced digital services and more tailored support. For enterprises going global, taxation poses challenges just as critical as market access and exchange rate fluctuations. Large corporations require support with cross-border tax structuring and risk management, small businesses seek simpler compliance procedures, and individual taxpayers need clearer regulatory guidance.

In the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), insights drawn from this cross-border exchange translate into improved tax services. Better tax services make cross-border operations more transparent, smoother and more predictable.
