Growing Dinghushan, guarded by them

Dinghushan — the first nature reserve established after the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC), and the "opening chapter" of China's nature conservation endeavor. Over the past seven decades, generations of guardians have rooted themselves in these mountains, passing the baton of protection from one to the next, allowing this "emerald" along the Tropic of Cancer to keep "growing."

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Dinghushan National Nature Reserve, Zhaoqing Integrated Media Center presents an international micro-documentary, "Growing Dinghushan, Guarded by Them." Through a first-person lens, it ventures deep into the mountains to authentically capture the story of guardians growing alongside the forest they protect — showcasing Dinghushan as a living "China model" of biodiversity conservation, and conveying the vision of "harmony between humanity and nature, led by science and technology."
