Recently, a group of foreign friends working in Shaoguan visited Diaozitang Village in Ruyuan to immerse themselves in the charms of traditional intangible cultural heritage. The group included visitors from countries such as India, Russia, the Philippines, Australia, and Japan.
The visitors joined villagers in rhythmic bamboo pole dances and tried their hand at making traditional rice cakes. They also tried on gorgeous Yao ethnic clothing and accessories, and walked down a makeshift "T-runway".
At the Yao medicine and herbs shop, the visitors experienced traditional Yao medical treatments. Australian visitor Nahin said it was a "wonderful experience". At the long-table banquet, they enjoyed authentic Yao cuisine.
This visit to Diaozitang Village left a lasting impression of the beautiful Yao countryside on the foreign friends, furthering cross-cultural exchanges.
