A delegation of journalists from APEC member economies began their visit to Guangdong Province on April 21, 2026.
The six-day tour, running from April 21 to 26, will take them to Zhuhai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou.
On the first day in Zhuhai, the group visited AVIC General Huanan Aircraft Industry Co., Ltd., Zhuhai Aerospace Land, and Gree Electric Appliances.
At the AVIC, the delegation was particularly impressed by China's domestically developed AG600—the world's largest amphibious aircraft—capable of scooping 12 tons of water in just 20 seconds for firefighting missions.
"I think it's gonna be very useful to show people in Thailand what China is like in terms of development," said Kornkit Disthan, a journalist from Thailand's The Better.
