For the first time, the "Guangdong Goods Go Global" campaign ventured beyond China's borders, selecting Kuala Lumpur as the stage for its international debut.

Over two days, from April 25 to 26, more than 70 Zhongshan-based companies brought over 300 of their best goods to Malaysia. These goods included smart home appliances, lighting fixtures, hardware locks, daily necessities, and even an AI-powered cupping robot.
Yes, a robot that can perform cupping therapy. That's the kind of creativity on display.
The response was immediate. Malaysian visitors packed the venue, exploring air fryers, cleverly designed helmets, stylish lamps, and AI-powered door locks. Art Lai, a local lifestyle vlogger, summed it up simply: "You can find a lot here that's perfect for young people to take home—air fryers, interesting helmets, great-looking lamps, home lighting fixtures. All are very suitable for us."

Chuah Poh Khiang, Deputy President of the Association of Belt and Road Malaysia, is no stranger to Zhongshan. "I've been there countless times," he said. "Besides the great food, home appliances and high-tech products are really taking off there."
That point was driven home by Malaysian distributor Joe Chen. Walking into the exhibition, he admitted, "I saw so many varieties—kitchen equipment, switches, curtains, AI door locks. I used to think only Foshan had this kind of range. I had no idea Zhongshan did too."

But the event wasn't just about looking—concrete deals got done. Guangdong Welly Electrical Appliances signed a strategic cooperation agreement with a Malaysian client valued at RMB 50 million annually, covering washing machines and microwave ovens. Li Haofan, Welly's Marketing General Manager, explained the bigger picture: "Malaysia represents a strategic gateway in Southeast Asia. It can serve as a benchmark. From here, we can expand into Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia, building a network across the whole region."

What truly set the event apart, though, went beyond purchase orders. There was a sense of genuine connection. Local buyers weren't just casually browsing—they were curious, engaged, and ready to partner.
