Founded in 1851 by Zhang Hongsheng, a master of Choy Li Fut kung fu, Hongsheng Martial Arts Hall became an important home of Choy Li Fut. As Foshan's oldest existing martial arts hall, it was also one of the city's earliest martial arts organizations to go global. Its disciples now span dozens of countries and regions.
On October 18, Choy Li Fut disciples from around the world gathered in Foshan to celebrate the 175th anniversary of Hongsheng Martial Arts Hall. Through kung fu performances and traditional ceremonies, they bonded over martial arts and renewed their shared ties.
