On November 9, the opening ceremony of China's 15th National Games was held in Guangzhou. At the ceremony, a giant Ao Fish swam across the sky, while on stage, vibrant lions danced together to celebrate Lingnan's poetic romance, demonstrating the cultural charm of the region.

The Ao Fish, a mythical creature in Chinese culture, is a dragon-headed fish with wings, symbolizing luck and success. The lion dance is traditionally performed during the Chinese New Year, cultural festivals, and significant occasions, aiming to ward off evil spirits and invite good fortune.

The performance also included the traditional Yingge dance, a type of folk dance popular in Guangdong, one of the co-hosts of this year's National Games.
