Former IMF Deputy Managing Director: Structural reforms in China's economy are driving further opening-up

On September 5, the Asia-Pacific Media Forum kicked off in Shenzhen, Guangdong. The theme for this year is "Building a Path to Shared Prosperity for the Asia-Pacific Community: Media Consensus and Action."

Zhu Min, former Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), noted at the forum that China's trade is becoming more balanced, while its opening-up is moving beyond trade and border measures toward the domestic market, institutions and the business environment.

He said China's economic reforms are driving further opening-up and bringing China's market system and business environment closer to international standards.
