Drop-proof ceramic? This Jingdezhen team uses ultra-high-temperature firing to make it real. Its porcelain is made from local high-white clay mixed with talc, then fired at more than 1,600°C to achieve ultra-high density. The result, it says, is stronger, tougher porcelain that can remain perfectly intact when dropped.
