A launch ceremony for the Samoa leg of the "2026 Charming China (Guangdong): Lingnan Culture Travels to the South Pacific" series was held on August 4 in Apia, the capital of Samoa. Alongside traditional Lingnan cultural goods and foods, Guangdong's AI innovations took center stage.
Fei Mingxing, the Chinese Ambassador to Samoa, said Guangdong's technological innovations give fresh impetus to China-Samoa relations. AI products, including a smart companion device and AI glasses, generated considerable interest among Samoan officials, highlighting new opportunities for technological cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.
