At the annual Asia-Pacific Media Forum held in Shenzhen on September 5, 2026, delegates toured the Sci-Tech Innovation Achievements Exhibition, where Chinese company GJS ROBOT showcased its cutting-edge robotics.
Among the visitors was Professor Sk Tawfique Moyazzemul Haque, Director of the South Asian Institute of Policy and Governance (SIPG) at North South University, Bangladesh.
"Very impressive, very innovative and creative," Haque remarked. "I've never seen robots like this." GJS ROBOT demonstrated its world-first human-machine synchronous control technology, enabling mecha suits to mirror human movements within 15 milliseconds. Its proprietary clutch and small-tooth-difference transmission technologies solve long-standing durability and precision challenges, offering lower cost and higher efficiency.
Haque sees immediate applications for such robotics in Bangladesh's industrial sector. "Bangladesh is the second-largest textile exporter after China, with a huge garment industry," he said. "Robots can be used on factory production lines for quality control, queue management, and quality assurance—tasks where precision matters."
He noted that while Bangladesh remains labour-intensive due to its large population, selective automation could boost overall competitiveness.
