Canton Fair AIGC Video 2 | From exhibition hall to smart factory

The 140th Canton Fair opened in Guangzhou on October 14 and will run until November 4, 2026, marking 70 years since its first session in 1957. The exhibition area totals about 1.55 million square meters, with 32,000 exhibitors. The first phase of the 140th Canton Fair, which concluded on October 19, attracted 189,000 overseas buyers from 214 countries and regions, up 13.3 percent from the same phase of the previous session, hitting a record high.

Following the time-traveling journey of Episode 1, the AIGC short-video series "Canton Fair: A Time-Traveling Encounter" continues. In Episode 1, Edward Norton, an 18th-century American trader, and Yuemian, a modern college student, traveled to the 140th Canton Fair and found a new way to bake for an American family 242 years in the future—a Guangdong-made oven.

In Episode 2, the adventure moves from the exhibition hall to the factory floor. Edward and Yuemian visit the production line to see where the ovens are made. To test the consistency of Chinese manufacturing, they select three ovens from different batches, bake three pies with the same dough and settings, and let the results speak for themselves. Edward is amazed to find that even the aroma is identical—the third pie is just as good as the first.

Through this "bake-off," Edward not only learns how smart temperature controls ensure consistent quality, but also checks the details of power configurations, plugs and safety requirements for the U.S. market.

Their journey is far from over. Next, they will explore how Guangdong's extensive logistics network ships these high-quality products across the ocean and delivers them worldwide.
