Artists participating in the APEC Vision, Guangdong Impressions program visited Shenzhen on July 29, exploring the city's advances in robotics and artificial intelligence as part of their creative journey across Guangdong.
The group of illustrators and comic artists from APEC economies visited Nanshan I Valley industrial park and UBTech, a Shenzhen-based AI robotics company, where they experienced intelligent robotics technologies and learned about the development of emerging industries.
The five-day program brought together eight artists from APEC economies including Russia, Japan, Singapore and Indonesia. After the tour, the artists will create works inspired by their experiences in Guangdong, with the completed pieces to be showcased at an in-person exhibition in September.
