The Asia-Pacific Media Forum officially opened on September 5 in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, under the theme "Building a Path to Shared Prosperity for the Asia-Pacific Community: Media Consensus and Action."
Konstantinos Oikonomou, CNN's Senior Vice President, delivered a keynote speech.
"No media organization can address these developments entirely on its own. We need stronger professional networks, more exchange of knowledge and experience, and new forms of collaboration across countries and regions," he said.
The event brought together more than 400 media professionals, scholars and government officials from across the region.
