Kenyan Ambassador: Speed of Chinese modernization encourages developing countries

On June 5, standing atop the spectacular Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge on the final stop of a Guangdong tour for diplomatic envoys from multiple countries, Willy Bett, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to China, highly praised the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) as a global trailblazer in technological innovation and regional connectivity.

Ambassador Bett noted that the GBA's advanced ecosystem offers a valuable blueprint for the Great Lakes Region in Africa.

He also emphasized that the remarkable velocity of Chinese modernization serves as a profound encouragement and a beacon of concrete hope for developing countries across the Global South, proving that transformative regional development is fully achievable within a lifetime.

Looking ahead, he described the conclusion of this tour not as an end, but as the beginning of a stronger, enduring partnership.
