Under the theme "For Global Cooperation and Solidarity," the 2025 Imperial Springs International Forum was held in Guangzhou from December 1 to December 3.
Former Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev shared his views on China's development model and its growing role on the world stage with South.
He emphasized that China's new Five-Year Plan reflects not only a commitment to domestic modernization but also a vision to lead globally in key economic sectors—a progress he believes will benefit all.
"When China is strong, the world is strong," he added.
The APEC meeting will be held in Guangdong's Shenzhen in 2026. Looking ahead, Plevneliev described the 21st century as "the century of Asia," saying, "I am very happy to see organizations like APEC have meetings in Shenzhen. Shenzhen is a special place where people can not only enjoy amazing technologies but also acknowledge China and Asia's achievements through this city," said Plevneliev.
