At this year's China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF), Guangdong's web series industry has emerged as a standout player, showcasing its evolving strategy for captivating global audiences.
On May 21, Guangdong rolled out a series of policy measures to promote the high-quality development of its film and television industry. These include subsidies of up to RMB 500,000 for dubbing and subtitling micro-short dramas aimed at overseas markets.
The policies also provide workspace support for screenwriters, directors, producers, and film/TV critics who have won major domestic or international awards and wish to start businesses or develop projects in Guangdong. Eligible projects will receive selective funding for production.
