Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah visits Guangzhou, witnessing Chinese flying car's UAE sandbox debut

"To imagine that China would be producing the finest cars and the finest air mobility solutions is wonderfully beautiful and unimaginable if you go back 30 or 40 years," said His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

On October 20, Sheikh Saud led a high-level delegation to Guangzhou, marking a major milestone in China-UAE cooperation in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).

During the visit, the delegation toured ARIDGE's flying car mass-production factory and the world's first flying car production line. They jointly unveiled the first X3-F "Land Aircraft Carrier" aircraft—destined for the UAE's AAM regulatory sandbox—as it rolled off the line, and officially received the test aircraft on-site.

"This is the third year of our cooperation with Ras Al Khaimah," said Zhao Deli, Founder of ARIDGE. He noted that the company will first conduct experimental demonstrations and obtain certification in the sandbox, then begin local sales and applications starting with emergency rescue and aerial tourism, to ultimately enable inter-city aerial transportation between Ras Al Khaimah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The visit is part of Sheikh Saud's broader trip to China (October 20-23), which includes attending the China-Ras Al Khaimah Business Summit and signing a cooperation agreement with Fujian Province.

"We are very proud to have this relationship with Shenzhen and Guangdong to learn from their practices," the Sheikh added. "The world will need not just one solution, but several solutions."
