An AI-empowered pet wearable from Guangdong that allows pets "to tell their own stories" will be launched exclusively on the U.S.-based crowdfunding platform Indiegogo on September 15, 2026.
Developed by Guangdong-based OurenPet, the Ouren M1 is an AI-native, multi-modal wearable device designed to help pet owners see, understand and remember more of their pets' everyday lives. Weighing about 50 grams—roughly the weight of an egg—it integrates visual capture, location tracking, AI-powered behavioral analysis and memory generation into a single lightweight device for both cats and dogs.

Unlike conventional pet trackers that mainly record location and activity, the Ouren M1 turns everyday moments into a living journal of a pet's life. Powered by AI, it automatically captures memorable moments—a watch at the window, a patrol around the yard, a nap in the last patch of sun—and turns them into personalized diaries and shareable short videos with one-click editing.
Beyond tracking, the device functions as a multi-modal behavioral data platform. By continuously monitoring changes in walking posture and activity levels, it can flag early signs of abnormal states such as joint discomfort, mental fatigue, anxiety and depression, while also recognizing warning signals like coughing, retching and frequent wheezing. Location and behavioral records can further serve as documentation for insurance claims if a pet is lost or injured.

"Ouren M1 is not limited to consumer grade hardware, but aims to build a global pet behavior data platform spanning pet care, behavioral understanding, safety, training and other applications," said Cao Ruilin, founder and CEO of OurenPet.
The device also features a 120° ultra-wide-angle camera, Bluetooth indoor positioning and GPS outdoor tracking, as well as lights for nighttime locating.
The Ouren M1 campaign will run on Indiegogo from September 15 through October 31, 2026.
