An interesting scene is that a robot dances to Hakka rhymes at the ongoing 22nd China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) being held in Shenzhen, Guangdong's tech hub.
The Hakka people in Guangdong are renowned for preserving the ancient Central Plains culture — the civilization that originated in the lower Yellow River basin — along with their distinctive dialects, folk arts, and fortified dwellings.
This striking fusion of folk culture and modern technology unfolded at Heyuan pavilion at the ICIF on May 21. Situated in northeastern Guangdong, Heyuan is a core Hakka settlement. Known as the "Hometown of Dinosaurs," the city boasts lush mountains and pristine water landscapes, as well as rich agricultural specialties.
