Overseas journalists visiting the power station and laboratory took part in a tug-of-war with a robot dog. The robot dog is used in China's grid system in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.
Starting September 2, journalists from APEC economies are attending the Asia-Pacific Media Forum and touring the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Their itinerary includes visits to the cities of Guangzhou, Foshan, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Zhuhai and Zhongshan.
The lab was built by China Southern Power Grid (CSG) and sits in a zero-carbon building. Open to researchers at home and abroad, it offers free access to advanced facilities and full-chain R&D support. It advances smart energy innovation and cross-regional energy cooperation via technical exchanges and integrated research resources.
Impressed by the robot dog's powerful performance, many journalists praised China's green power innovations. They expressed hopes to draw on these technologies for energy development across Southeast Asia.
