"We warn of the dangers of unilateral actions, retaliatory tariffs, and the growing risk of global fragmentation," highlighted Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. He made the remarks at the 22nd Shangri-La Dialogue on May 31.
Anwar Ibrahim highlighted the ASEAN-GCC-China trilateral initiative launched this week, saying this "unprecedented and momentous" initiative aims to connect ASEAN's energy and talent with the Gulf's capital and China's market scale.
As the chair of ASEAN this year, the Malaysian PM then said ASEAN values the vibrant and firm ties with China and its robust partnership across Asia, Europe, and the Global South.
