A total of 19 young participants from 13 countries and regions gathered in Guangzhou's Nansha District for an immersive experience in Xiajiaquan, a Lingnan martial art inscribed on the intangible cultural heritage list, during a recent summer study tour.
Guided by a Xiajiaquan inheritor, the students trained alongside local practitioners and felt the power behind the style. The exchange broke down cultural barriers, allowing participants to gain a firsthand appreciation of traditional Chinese martial arts and learn how Nansha keeps its intangible cultural heritage alive.
