The three famous Guangdong teas wowed Samoa's Minister of Education and Culture at a Guangdong Day event held on August 4 at the Chinese Embassy in Apia, Samoa's capital.
The teas, namely Zijin Cicada Tea, Yingde Black Tea and Chaozhou Dancong Tea, were brought to Samoa by the Guangdong cultural delegation as part of the 2026 Charming China (Guangdong): Lingnan Culture Travels to the South Pacific event.
Zijin Cicada Tea is famous for its soft, mellow flavor due to its one-of-a-kind formation process caused by leaf hopper bites. Yingde Black Tea delivers a comforting sweet-smooth taste. Chaozhou Dancong Tea is well-known for diverse natural floral scents.
Aiono Alec Ekeroma, Samoa's Minister of Education and Culture, claimed the teas would make good daily companions.
