Century-old photos hidden in Zhongshan awaken the cultural DNA of overseas Chinese

This year, a delegation from the Auckland Zhongshan Clan Association of New Zealand returned to their ancestral homeland for a roots-seeking exchange program. The delegation included many second, third, and even fourth-generation overseas Chinese, with numerous members visiting their family's hometown for the first time. When the Gock cousins stepped into their ancestral home, they were immediately enveloped by the ancient charm of their homeland and the fascinating collision of cultures. Century-old photographs preserved within the house evoked a strong sense of ancestral identity among these visitors from the Southern Hemisphere.
