26 Maritime Silk Road journalists dive into Guangdong

A group of 26 journalists and editors from mainstream media outlets across countries along the Maritime Silk Road is visiting Guangdong Province from Nov. 28 to Dec. 2.

Focused on Guangdong's high-tech implementation, rapid development, and rich culture, the group looks forward to absorbing valuable insights, bringing actionable knowledge back to their home nations, and exploring further two-way collaboration.

For some journalists, the journey fulfills a long-held wish, transforming their previous daydreams about China into a first-hand understanding of reality.

Over the next few days, the media delegation will travel between Guangdong's two major cities: Shenzhen and Guangzhou, to learn from the province's overall development trajectory, ranging from smart agriculture and autonomous driving to AI digital applications, historical museums, landmark parks, and the scenic spots along the Pearl River.

Before leaving, the group's journey will culminate in media exchange sessions on Dec. 1, including the 2nd International Communication Seminar on "Understanding the Greater Bay Area" and the "Maritime Silk Road" Media Exchange Conference.

Hosted by South, the event will unite media outlets from countries along the Maritime Silk Road in a collective effort to build bridges for cultural exchanges. Together, they hope to foster both a regional community with a shared future and a global community with a shared destiny.

From high-tech agriculture and people-to-people exchanges to culture and collective collaboration, follow South to see what inspires journalists from countries along the Maritime Silk Road.
