The 2026 Southern China Book Fair kicked off in Guangzhou on August 27. Alan Coêlho de Séllos, Consul-General of Brazil in Guangzhou, attended the event and shared his thoughts on the significance of the fair.
"This is a very beautiful and big event, very important in a very promising and rapidly developing region of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area," Séllos said. He also emphasized the importance of Brazil-China relations, noting that "China is the most important commercial partner of Brazil, the most important trade partner for Brazil," and that being present at the fair helps strengthen the cultural and commercial ties between the two countries.
