The 137th Canton Fair (China Import and Export Fair) officially opens on April 15 in Guangzhou. Many exhibitors and buyers choose to travel by air. This guide provides you with the most comprehensive air travel information related to the Canton Fair.

Newly added flights to Guangzhou

As the Canton Fair approaches, Chinese airlines have begun their summer and autumn flight plans. Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has several new passenger routes, including destinations such as Nagoya, Surabaya, Belgrade, Almaty, Tashkent, Xingtai, Weifang, Shuozhou, and Zhoushan. Additionally, Guangzhou has increased flight frequencies to popular domestic destinations such as Kunming, Haikou, and Chengdu.

Go to Canton Fair from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

After landing at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, you can reach the Canton Fair Complex via shuttle bus, metro, or taxi.

During the fair periods (April 15–19, April 23–27, and May 1–5, 2025), Baiyun Airport operates a dedicated shuttle bus service to and from the Canton Fair Complex in Pazhou. Priority access is provided at bus ticket counters in Terminals 1 and 2 for Canton Fair attendees. Show your valid Canton Fair credentials to receive a discounted fare of 35 RMB per person at the airport or the exhibition site.

If there is an increase in passenger volume, shuttle buses will operate on a rolling basis and depart once full. On the last day of each session, there will be no departures from Baiyun Airport to the Canton Fair Complex.

Guangzhou Airport–Canton Fair Complex by taxi

You can take a taxi directly at the airport or use ride-hailing apps like DiDi.

Fare: Approximately 80–300 yuan, depending on the time, vehicle type, and service provider.

Go to Canton Fair from Hong Kong International Airport

If you land at Hong Kong International Airport, the ferry can be the most time- and cost-efficient option to reach the Canton Fair. You can also take a coach from Hong Kong Airport to Guangzhou, but it does not go directly to the Canton Fair Complex.

Ferry from SkyPier Terminal to Pazhou

Duration: Approximately 140 minutes

Fare: 430–560 HKD per adult

Go to Canton Fair from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport

Option 1: Take the train from Shenzhen Airport Railway Station to Guangzhou East Railway Station, then transfer to the metro or a taxi.

Option 2: Take a taxi directly (around 1.5 hours), with fares starting at around 180 yuan.

Baiyun Airport's comprehensive service counters at Canton Fair

During the 137th Canton Fair, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport's two comprehensive service counters will be set up at the exhibition site. 

Main service counter at Booth Comprehensive-2, Area B

Twelve airlines (e.g., China Southern, Air China, China Eastern, Hainan Airlines) will provide services including flight check-in, baggage check-through, information on airport shuttle buses, flight information, ticketing, VIP service inquiries, aviation logistics consultations, and one-stop services such as hotel, car rental, travel, and tourist attraction ticket bookings.

China Southern Airlines exclusive counter at Booth 5-1, Area B

This counter offers special perks for Canton Fair attendees flying with China Southern, including check-in and baggage services, flight information consultation, and souvenirs and merchandise.

"Zero-luggage" service

Baiyun Airport will offer a "zero-luggage" travel service for Canton Fair attendees. You can have your luggage collected, packed, and checked in at your hotel or the fair venue, allowing you to travel to and from the Canton Fair without any burden.

Free souvenirs, snacks, and coffee

Visitors can receive postcards, bookmarks, and snacks (e.g., dried tangerine peel peanuts, tangerine peel white tea) from Jiangmen, along with a complimentary cup of coffee at the counters.

Guangzhou Travel Card

Visitors can purchase 48-hour or 72-hour Travel Cards at the counters. With the Travel Card, you can enjoy unlimited rides on the metro, bus, tram, and ferry within the validity period, as well as discounts at museums, hotels, restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions across Guangzhou.
