Exhibitors impressed by the vitality and innovation of Canton Fair

At the second phase of the 135th Canton Fair, held from April 23 to 27, Thanyaluk Pitisettakarn, manager of the foreign trade department of Thailand-based Solex International (Thailand) Co., Ltd., is busy introducing their products to buyers at their import booth.

"I've attended the Canton Fair for more than 10 years, twice a year," Pitisettakarn told GDToday. She considers the Canton Fair as the "No.1 fair in the world" due to its internationalization and well-organized nature.

What surprised Pitisettakarn at this session was that mobile payment has become more convenient. "We don't need to worry about money exchange and costs. And there's only one simple step," she explained.

Pitisettakarn also mentioned that since she works in the export section, she needs to visit many countries around the world. Therefore, she met her old friend Hitesh Midha, a Ugandan buyer, at this session of the Canton Fair. According to Midha, he has known Pitisettakarn's company since 2010, when they met in Germany at a hardware trade fair, and then they met again in 2012 in Guangzhou. They have been meeting each other at the fair every year since then.

"Canton Fair is a very big brand and is famous worldwide," Midha said. "The quality of their products is very good. We buy from them, and they load the containers for us, for Uganda."

"I have been engaged in the field of foreign trade for over four decades, traveling to more than 30 countries. In April and October every year, I always come to Guangzhou to attend the Canton Fair, not only to explore new business opportunities but also to meet our friends from all over the world," said Thanyaluk Pitisettakarn.
