A household-service robot developed by Shenzhen-based X Square Robot is bringing embodied-intelligence technology into ordinary Chinese homes.
Dubbed the WALL-B robot, it can complete a wide range of daily chores: folding clothes, tidying desks, taking out rubbish, running errands, sorting shoe cabinets, changing garbage bags, cleaning cat litter boxes, watering plants and even walking pets. Users give orders via voice or mini-program interfaces.
Unlike most robots confined to lab showcases, its functions work in real-life scenarios. Back in March 2026, X Square Robot was deployed for real-world home services in Shenzhen and Beijing via China's domestic housekeeping platforms, marking the industry's first large-scale robot-powered household service. X Square Robot's household service has also been selected for APEC's Case Collection of Digital and AI Empowerment in Asia-Pacific Region.
Capable of handling unplanned disturbances and adjusting movements in real time, the Guangdong-built robot bridges the gap between exhibition demos and practical everyday domestic use.
