On December 13, the “single submission” service, a new customs declaration service for Guangdong and Macao cargo, was officially implemented with the first batch of fresh goods exported through Gongbei Port in Zhuhai to Macao.
This new customs declaration service at the China (Guangdong) International Trade Single Window platform streamlines cross-border import and export operations between Guangdong and Macao. It also reduces the declaration time for enterprises.
Instead of filing the same information repeatedly with different authorities, traders are now able to declare goods with a single submission on the Single Window platform. And during the declaration process, the system can automatically import the cargo packing lists and separate different waybills.
Furthermore, the number of mandatory items for export declaration lists that are manually filled in by the Chinese mainland enterprises, has been reduced from 29 to 26, while Macao enterprises no longer need to do manual entry when declaring goods in Macao, greatly improving the declaration efficiency.
Since June this year, Guangdong and Macao have collaborated closely to expand this declaration service to its second phase, to cover vegetables and fruit in addition to general goods.
Launched on March 10, 2022, the single submission service (Phase I) was promptly implemented in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, winning wide praise from enterprises in both Guangdong and Macao.
The introduction of this new declaration mode will promote the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and enhance its international competitiveness.
