Discover a vibrant holiday in Nanhai, Foshan. From May 1 to 5, Nanhai District is hosting more than 200 activities spanning culture, sports, tourism and shopping.
Each town and subdistrict offers its own highlights. In Guicheng, the 2026 China (Foshan) Diejiao Dragon Boat Drifting Championships are set to begin, with the thrilling single-person dragon boat race on May 1 serving as a preview of the Dragon Boat Festival races.
In Jiujiang Town, the first Leti Qingmei Cultural Festival runs from May 1 to 2, featuring a Twelve Flower Goddesses parade, traditional-style markets and a large-scale green plum steeping ceremony.
Xiqiao Town combines nature and culture. Xiqiao Mountain Scenic Area is presenting floral displays and live performances, while Guoyi Film & TV City hosts the "Travel Through Time: The Divine Realm of Flowers" event.
Danzao Town is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. Jinsha Island hosts the "Looping the Two Rivers" Outdoor Sports Carnival, with paddleboarding, obstacle courses and outdoor yoga.
In Shishan Town, visitors can watch car and motorcycle stunt shows at Nanhai Film & TV City.
Dali Town blends heritage with modern entertainment, with an e-sports league at Jiulong Park and a beer carnival at the Yanbu Laolong 1432 Block. Lishui Town hosts lion dance competitions from May 3 to 4.
Newly opened venues include the Blueprint Cultural & Creative Hub, Wanpi Comprehensive Sports Park and Taolian Sports Park. Holiday shopping promotions are also available across Nanhai.
