The 2025 Greater Bay Area (Foshan) Kung Fu Film Festival was held in Chancheng District from December 6 to 7. Under the theme "Boundless Kung Fu · Co-Produced Films in the Greater Bay Area," the festival continued its mission to advance the film and television sector in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and served as a key platform for integrating kung fu culture with the screen industries.

At the festival's opening ceremony on December 6, the "Star Martial Arts Hall" Greater Bay Area Kung Fu Film and Television Alliance was launched. The alliance aims to connect traditional martial arts resources with the film and television industries, promote international exchange and two-way talent flow, and enhance the global recognition of Chinese kung fu film and TV productions. Several kung fu film and television projects were signed on-site, and the Foshan Film and Television Launch Base was officially unveiled.

The Greater Bay Area Kung Fu/Action Actor Training Base, also called the "Star Wharf" Actor Service Platform, was inaugurated by renowned directors Qian Jiale and Yang Panpan. Designed to cultivate professional talent and streamline the industry from training to employment, the base will offer structured programs and standardized selection procedures.

The festival launched two distinctive initiatives—the National AI Kung Fu Short Film Competition and the Greater Bay Area Youth Kung Fu Short Film Collection—to discover new talent and explore the fusion of technology and film. Since their inception, these initiatives have attracted enthusiastic participation, featuring works that reflect both contemporary trends and a deep respect for classical kung fu.
