Guangdong's first highway service area with hot springs coming next year

A highway service area where you can soak in a hot spring? This will soon become a reality in Guangdong!

Construction has recently begun on the renovation and upgrade of Huizhou's Longmen and Ping'an service areas along the Xinbo Expressway. Once completed, the Longmen Service Area is set to become Guangdong's first highway service area to offer hot spring experiences.

Located in Longmen County and known for its extensive hot spring resources, the Longmen Service Area will feature a hot spring space on the underground levels of its main building,  with outdoor scenic hot spring pools, private hot spring rooms, a children's hot spring play area, and even fish therapy pools.

The overall architectural design will incorporate local cultural elements and connect with the surrounding scenic farmland. Inside the service area, visitors can enjoy a variety of spaces, including the "Longmen Feast" food market, a farmer's art-themed café, cultural exhibition zones, digital performance stages, folk culture experience areas, and even an educational research base.

Meanwhile, the Ping'an Service Area in Huizhou's Boluo County is also undergoing a transformation. Inspired by the region's renowned "Baitang Mountain Tea," its architectural style will reflect the harmony of local tea culture and the serene beauty of Luofu Mountain. The renovated service area will feature a tea culture experience center, offering travelers a chance to savor fine tea and immerse themselves in tea traditions.
